About Maven Collective

Maven Collective is a female-centric social club soon to open in Fargo, ND. Our goal is to create a supportive, collaborative, and creative environment for the women and children in our community. We are a community of women focused on improving the lives of women through coworking, community events, on-site yoga classes and childcare amenities. Maven Collective is passionate about creating a life where we get to choose both our families and careers. We want to create a space where women and children can flourish independently, while interacting with each other throughout the day.

Shelby Beach | Founder

I am passionate about my family, friends, and living life to the fullest. My upbringing in Alexandria, MN, instilled in me the importance of cherishing moments with loved ones. Growing up, I was fortunate to be raised in my mom's in-home childcare, where I forged numerous friendships and created lasting memories while sharing my days with my siblings and mother. Fast forward to today, I have two children of my own, Nola and Cal. I am wholeheartedly committed to nurturing them to pursue their aspirations and lead a life full of joy.

Since becoming a mom, I’ve struggled with the hard puzzle of working and raising my children. I worked hard to obtain a remote position at a great company, in hopes of keeping my children home with me. I quickly realized this wasn’t the solution. I knew that my family and I deserved a better version of me.

With Maven Collective I don’t have to make the hard choice anymore. I get to dedicate myself to the work I love while taking breaks to raise my children. I know that while I am working, engaging with the community, or prioritizing self-care, my children are being loved and cared for in close proximity. I get to have lunch with my children, respond to emails while they play, and watch them grow in a safe and nurturing environment. I strongly believe in the integration of our children into our daily lives. They don’t have to be separate. We deserve the opportunity to have them both.
